How to Set up Folder and Windows Access Permissions in QB Desktop

To set up folder and window access permission in QB desktop, you need to follow these steps:

Step 1- Install QB database server manager

·       For installing QB desktop, go to intuit official website.

·       Download the latest version of QB desktop.

·       Open the downloaded file.

·       Follow the instruction that you see on screen in the correct sequence and type your license product number.

·       Now choose the custom or Network option as the install type.

·       Click on next and choose the option of your company file you are sharing over the network.

·       Follow the given instruction as shown on screen and tap install to complete the process.

Step 2- Scan your company file folders

·       To scan your company file folder, go to the start menu and search Database.

·       Navigate the QB database server manager.

·       Now select the scan folder option to continue the process.

·       Choose the location in which you wish to save your folder.

·       Click on OK to continue.

·       If you have any requirements, you can add more folders by adding more folders.

·       Click on the scan option.

·       Once the process is done, close it.
