What is EPA Tier 4 Emission Standards?
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) introduced the Tier 4 emissions standards to address the growing environmental concerns surrounding harmful emissions from non-road diesel engines. These standards represent a significant step forward in reducing pollutants that contribute to poor air quality, climate change, and health issues, particularly in densely populated urban areas.
Key Pollutants targeted by Tier 4 Standards:
Nitrogen Oxides (NOx): These emissions are a leading cause of ground-level ozone (smog) and respiratory issues. Reducing NOx plays a critical role in improving public health and combating air pollution.
