STARLIGHT EXPRESS LACE UP – A LEGENDARY MUSICAL RETURNS

Ready to roll? Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical, STARLIGHT EXPRESS, is back and faster than ever — landing summer 2024 at the brand-new, purpose-built Starlight Auditorium at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.

This high-octane, one-of-a-kind spectacle throws you into a whirlwind of race, rhythm, and romance. With a 40-strong cast zooming on skates through the theatre and above the audience, prepare for a truly immersive experience. You'll hear some of musical theatre’s most unforgettable hits, including “AC/DC,” “Make Up My Heart,” “Light at the End of the Tunnel,” and, of course, the legendary “Starlight Express.”

The story follows Rusty, a humble steam engine with big dreams, who finds the courage to race for glory with a little help from a mythical force known as the Starlight Express. It’s a magical journey of hope, heroism, and horsepower — brought to life with breathtaking speed and style.

Having dazzled over 20 million people worldwide, STARLIGHT EXPRESS is a thrill ride for audiences of all ages.

With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Richard Stilgoe, this brand-new production is steered by director Luke Sheppard (& Juliet), with dazzling designs by Tim Hatley (Back to the Future) and Andrzej Goulding (Life of Pi), jaw-dropping costumes by Gabriella Slade (Six), and technical wizardry from lighting designer Howard Hudson and sound designer Gareth Owen.

The show also features fresh orchestrations and musical direction by Matthew Brind, dynamic choreography from Ashley Nottingham (Pacific Overtures), and the creative vision of Arlene Phillips as dramaturg.

The Starlight Auditorium at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre is just 12 minutes from Baker Street by tube and a quick 5-minute walk from Wembley Park station. Easily accessible by car from the M25 and M1 — with nearby parking at Wembley’s red and pink car parks (note: no parking onsite).

Get ready to witness a musical that races through your heart and lights up your imagination. STARLIGHT EXPRESS is back — and it’s more exhilarating than ever.
