German Taekwondo Team Ready for Tallinn, Estonia
The 34-member roster, which will take part in the 17th European Poomsae Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, in mid-April, finished their preparations for the tournament with an intensive three-day training camp in Bad Münder.
Guided by national coach Marcus Ketteniss, athletes trained rigorously to enhance their performance. Assisted by Nicole Ketteniss and leading DTU state coaches, this cooperative strategy boosts team success.
Further adding to the support structure, physiotherapist Nils Engelking, who provided outstanding care for the team at the 2024 World Championships in Hong Kong, was also available in Bad Münder.

The training agenda was organized to target specific performance elements each day. Friday concentrated on master classes aimed at honing technique and expressive qualities.
Saturday focused on dynamics, presentation, kicking techniques, and individual poomse assessment, with particular emphasis also placed on refining Freestyle choreography. Sunday was about the final refinement of individual routines, with each athlete concentrating on what distinguishes their performance.
The finishing touches will be made at a final preparatory training camp in Nuremberg in early April before the team leaves for Tallinn on 14 April. 39 athletes will represent Germany in Estonia. The squad features Germany’s leading Poomsae stars, Manfred Stadtmüller and Sylvia Höhfeld, world champions in the Pair Over 60 category.
