What Is British Airways Cancellation Policy?
British Airways flight cancellation can requested online in Manage My Booking or by calling our contact centers at 800-AIRWAYS 1-808-900-8120(OTA)
The cancelation policy of British Airways states that there will be a deduction to the ticket price on flight cancelation. Understand British Airways cancellation policy before you apply for it.
The airline releases two different types of tickets, and the cancelation policy for each ticket differs:
- Refundable Tickets: The passengers who are holding a refundable ticket can cancel their flight ticket at any time before departure and get a full refund.
- Non-Refundable Tickets: These options are generally less expensive but impose significant restrictions on flight cancellations. Often, the traveler will only receive the government taxes and fees back.
24-Hour Cancelation Rule
With British Airways, passengers have 24-hour flexibility, where they can cancel their booking within 24 hours of the booking. Refundable and non-refundable tickets are eligible to enjoy the 24-hour benefit rule, but seven or more days must be left before flight departure.
No show Policy
According to the British Airlines cancellation policy, the passenger is not eligible to get a refund if they fail to board the flight. The airline will forfeit the full ticket price of such passengers.
Third-party Booking
The passenger who has booked their flight ticket through a party must consult their travel agent to request a flight cancelation.
If you booked your flight directly with the airline, you can visit the official BA website or call their agent to request a flight cancellation. Please note that cancellations requested over the phone may incur a service fee in addition to the cancellation charge.
