2,875 Emirati women business owners joined in the first half of 2025, as reported by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI). This increase depicts how women are moving into entrepreneurship in sectors like e-commerce, design, technology, and services.

Most memberships were done through Mobdea licences, which were specially designed for home and creative projects, and more than 1,350 women chose them. Another 900 business people acquired the Tajer Abu Dhabi licence, which allows for online and digital businesses without offices showing how the digital economy is becoming stronger.

Government initiatives like Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030 and the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council have played a pivotal role in empowering women by offering training, financing, and mentorship opportunities.

The impact goes beyond numbers: women-led businesses are boosting job creation, diversifying the economy, and fostering innovation. With strong policy support and determination, this milestone proves that Emirati women are shaping the future of Abu Dhabi’s business landscape.
