Highlights of the October Toolkit:
International E-Waste Day – Students create a mini donation center for collecting old or unused electronic items for safe disposal or reuse, preventing environmental harm and recovering valuable materials like metals.
World Food Day – Encouraging self-reliance and healthy living, students grow their own food and learn to prepare simple, nutritious meals. The activity promotes mindful consumption and reduces food waste.
World Cities Day – Students design and build eco-friendly alternatives to expensive household or city appliances, learning how small innovations can make communities cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable.
Khadi Day – Students take a stand against fast fashion by exploring sustainable clothing options like Khadi, reducing carbon emissions, and supporting local artisans.
