How to switch from one hosting to another?
How to switch from one hosting to another?
Migrate your website by backing up data, choosing a new host, transferring files and databases, updating DNS settings, and testing the site thoroughly.

Imagine you have a website just like any other, but you want to move it to another web hosting provider, so how do you exactly do that? So this is known as migrating from one web hosting provider to another free of charge. Buying hosting is very much required to increase business visibility over search engines and to expand its audience.

Firstly it is very much recommended you before migrating, and you should delete any caching plugins that you might be using some web host to have native caching. So you might have compatibility issues later on; these include WP Rocket, WP Super Cache, little speed cache, and so on.

For example you login into the WordPress panel of the website, you want to move somewhere else.so you need to go to plugins and add a new search for all-in-one WP migration install and activate it in your world press dashboard.

You will now see an additional button; it will be called all in one WP migration; however, on it, choose export. You will now need to click export to select, and then you can choose the file option.

It will take a while, depending on the size of your website.

First Half of Migration Process

Once this compression is done, you need to click the download button and save it somewhere on your computer.

One thing you need to remember while web hosting in India is that this only works with websites smaller than 500Mb in size. The first half of your migration process will then be done; you have extracted all of the necessary files from your web hosting provider to your computer, and now it's time to put all those files onto the new web hosting provider.

You need to log in to the web hosting provider you will be migrating to and create a clean word press installation, login into your newly installed word depress account, and install the all-in-one WP migrate plugin again. However, the upload limit is up to 64 MB, but with time it has been extended up to 72 MB.

Importing File

Now you need to go back to your WordPress control panel, and in the plugin section, click add new, then upload plugin Click choose file, navigate to the folder in which you have saved the file, and then click on it. Open next, click install now and wait a little bit. Once the plugin is installed, click activate however over the plugin, but this time instead of clicking export, you will want to click import. Choose the import file, and navigate to the file you exported earlier; you will now need to wait a bit for the upload to complete, but once the upload is done, click proceed and wait for a little bit more. The last step is connecting the save permalinks structure. Do not worry if you need to log in to WordPress again since you migrated all of your old files to your new web hosting provider. You need to use your old word press login to reach your website. You might also need to confirm your email on your first login.

Changing the Hostname

Once you are inside a word, press again to choose hostname, click save changes, and now if you would visit. The new website will be updated and working correctly, but what if you don't want to use a new domain name to use the same old domain name you already have? All you need to do is go to your domain name provider and update the name servers to your new web hosting provider; this process is generally different for every web hosting provider.

It does not matter where you bought your domain name; as long as you have access to the domain name system, you can use it on any web hosting provider.

That is possible if you want to use the same old domain name you already have. All you need to do is not to make any changes to the database when it comes to the site you are and home sections, and you will also need to update the name servers from your old web hosting provider to your new one.

Adding users to the database

To add the user to the database, you must select the user and then the database. Finally, click over add, assign all privileges, and then click over to make changes. The second server is the new hosting provider service. You need to import the database, so select the same database you created, click over import, and then browse.

Now, upload the same database you downloaded from your old hosting provider. Finally, you need to import the database and go to the file manager in your new hosting provider's new C panel account and then click on over upload inside public underscore HTML.

Now upload the same file you downloaded earlier from your old hosting provider; now extract these files simply by right-clicking over your zip file and clicking over-extract. Once the files are removed successfully, your WordPress website is ready to use.

Summing up

If you might face an error establishing a database connection error, synchronize the password again inside the file. If you open your website in the web browser, it will work flawlessly. It means your website is now migrated successfully into the new hosting provider. So by following this, you can migrate your website quickly and free of cost.
