Shakespeare Is Used in “Ghostlight” to Help Us Understand Our Emotions

The Mueller family, portrayed by real-life relatives Tara Mallen, Katherine Mallen Kupferer, and Keith Kupferer, is the central emotional unit of Ghostlight on Flixtor movies. The casting choice is astute and effective, adding more realism to the relationships and dynamics of the made-up family. Keith Kupferers, portraying construction worker Dan Mueller, exudes the surliness and pent-up rage one might anticipate from a working-class Chicago bear. However, we can see sources of sorrow in his heavy eyes that link Dan to classic tragic figures.
